about

"How We Should Be Loved" is a special song that has undergone an exciting transformation. Originally written and recorded on my first EP over a decade ago, this track has been given new life with a fresh version

In collaboration with the talented Deano, this new version of "How We Should Be Loved"was recoded from the comfort of my home studio. I took great care in making sure that every element of the song resonates with authenticity and passion.

Joining me on this musical endeavor were a group of exceptionally talented musicians who brought their unique skills and artistry to the table. Jonny Turner's electric guitar adds a dynamic and melodic edge, while Wilf Blomfield's rhythmic mastery on the drums propels the track forward with infectious energy. Ben Carver's basslines provide a solid foundation, anchoring the song with precision and groove.

With its heartfelt lyrics and soul-stirring melodies, "How We Should Be Loved" invites you to embark on a journey of introspection and connection. This new version, releasing on January 28th, 2024, captures the essence of our collaborative spirit and showcases the evolution of this original song.

We are thrilled to share this musical creation with you and hope that it resonates deeply within your heart and soul.

Stay tuned for the release of "How We Should Be Loved" and let the music speak to you.

lyrics

We've had our highs and we've had our lows
Yesterdays yes could now be a resounding no
You're so hard to judge but so easy to please
You promised you wanted to stay but then begged me to leave

I've been travelling through out of space
And I'm searching for a distant place
Where we all can learn to love how we should be loved
And I'm wandering this galaxy
Wondering if we'll ever reach
A place where we can love how we should be loved

We find it so hard but we keep making sense
Through all of the hardships and carnage thats left
Maybe we're not perfect but we do our best
Deep down in my chest I know that I'm blessed
This heart it still beats and I'm still taking steps
Sometimes I feel lonely but in my defence
I'm travelling through out of space
Tryna take time for myself and my mental health
From day to day
Tryna make the dreams that haven't yet happened happen
Before its to late, wait, it's all in the balance
Life is the same, your mind will change, time will fly by
You'll need to remind yourself to keep practicing kindness and compassion
Even when your hearts heavy and you can't explain the pain
But at-least you're alive even if your life is a challenge

I've been travelling through out of space
And I'm searching for a distant place
Where we all can learn to love how we should be loved
And I'm wandering this galaxy
And I'm wondering if we'll ever reach
A place where we can love how we should be loved
I've been travelling through out of space
And I'm searching for a distant place
Where we all can learn to love how we should be loved
I'm wandering this galaxy
Wondering if we'll ever reach
A place where we can love how we should be loved
